CLOSED

The Infant of Prague Donations building at Madonna House in Combermere will close its doors at 5 PM on June 29, 2024, for one year.

We do not see this closure as permanent but find it necessary at this time.

Presently, we find ourselves unable to continue receiving the quantity of donations in the way we have been doing for so long. The closure will allow us to focus our limited energies on other areas of the apostolate and also provide necessary storage space in the donations building during the main house renovations.

Please know that we continue to rely on your help. Although you will no longer be able to drop off used clothing and other material donations at our main center, you will be able to direct them to Joseph’s House, our rural apostolate located at the junction of Highways 62 and 517. Because the space for receiving and sorting donations is very limited at St. Joseph’s House, it will be necessary and important to call and speak to the staff at 613–756-6267 before bringing donations.

St. Joseph’s House with its used clothing and thrift shop, relies on material donations to provide for the needs of families in the local area.

If you have specific donations for the gift shop or wish to respond to needs requested through Restoration and/or our begging letters, please make arrangements by sending an email to info@madonnahouse.org or calling the 613-756-3713. Once again, we thank you for your ongoing generosity and for your understanding as we explore creative ways to use our resources in serving others while remaining faithful to our call to remain beggars — poor always.
